And welcome to Kiwibokke.com, our small slice of cyberspace that tracks
the movements of the Howard family in a series of mind-blowingly organised
photographs and video clips.
Kiwibokke is just a term that loosely
describes the origins of our rather nomadic existence. Kiwi for that
flightless bird of New Zealand that somehow defined a nation, and Bokke
for that nimble-footed gazelle of South Africa at the wrong end of the
food chain.
Diane and I are from New Zealand and South Africa respectively
and met while travelling through Russia of all places. Jessica was born
during a working sojourn in Australia and David followed a few years later
in South Africa en route to the UK.
The photo-journal has been organised by calendar year as all good
journals are, and you can use the menus on the left, top and bottom of the
page to navigate your way around the site. All images
have been reduced to thumbnail size to improve download times.
Simply click on any thumbnail to get the full picture in a separate window.
The site contains a series of movie clips
that will demand a bit more from your bandwidth and will also require the
installation of the Quicktime movie player for playback purposes. Its not
as complicated as it sounds. Just visit the Movie Clip
Instructions page for further information on the technical gumph and
requirements.
